Applies to
The site you are reading (ghostfactorieslostto.xyz) and the private uploader Ghost Factories & Lost Towns relies on to put its films on YouTube. Because the uploader is built on YouTube API Services, it also falls under the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.
Users
The channel’s own small team. It is not a public product, nobody can register for it, and it is tied to one Google account — the channel’s.
Access
Once we sign in and approve, it may publish films; change their names, write-ups, cover images and playlist order; alter the channel’s configuration; read the comments posted below our videos, to reply or remove spam; and download our YouTube Analytics reports (views, watch time, retention, subscribers), which are aggregated and never single out a viewer.
Purpose
Publishing and maintaining the channel, and reading the reports to make each new film better than the last.
Never
Entering other accounts or reading other people’s private data; selling, renting or handing data to others for their own ends; advertising or profiling.
Storage
Access tokens, report figures and a moderation log, kept on a private server we operate.
Retention
As long as the channel keeps using the uploader; removed when access is revoked.
Google rules
Data received from Google APIs is handled in compliance with the Google API Services User Data Policy and its Limited Use requirements.
Revoking
Possible at any time via myaccount.google.com/permissions. After that, the uploader has no read or write access at all.
Site visitors
No accounts, forms, ads, analytics or tracking cookies. Our host and its security service may log technical details (for example, IP addresses) while delivering and protecting pages.
Updates
Changes are published here, and the date at the top is moved forward.
